There's a reason you decided to do a podcast in the first place. Either way, you need to make sure that the call to action (CTA) in your podcast episodes helps you achieve your goals. You don't want to just say, "Thanks for listening" and move on. No, you need to tell your listeners what you want them to do to achieve your goals.

You can use different types of calls to action in your podcast. Depending on where you are in your podcast, your CTA may change from episode to episode.

For example, if you're just starting out and want to expand your listenership, your CTA can be as simple as asking your listeners to subscribe to your podcast and then promoting it on social media.

Once you've built a large following and are ready to monetise your podcast, you can start promoting your products or services to your listeners.

Make sure you give your audience a call to action, whatever it is. Make sure what you're asking them to do is simple. Make them jump through hoops instead. Repeat your CTA a few times during your broadcast if you need to (but not so much that it annoys your listeners).

Tell them what's in it for them if they follow your CTA to get the best result. Some of your most ardent supporters will do what you say without question. Most of your audience, however, will ask, "What's in it for me? "Why should I follow this man's advice?" This is especially true for CTAs that involve buying products or subscribing to services. In other words, you want to soften the "impact" You don't want people to be afraid to commit to something they're not ready for.

Always put the needs of your target group above your own. You are there to help them achieve their goals or alleviate their discomfort. Of course, you want something from the connection too, but to get something, you have to give a lot of value first!
