LEAN LEADERSHIP – LEAN MANAGEMENT

Our motivation for offering you this workshop or presentation:

Many organisations today are undergoing a transformation process, with lean being one of the key approaches to improving performance. Transformation is a multi-faceted endeavour that requires the alignment of purpose, process, people and customers. For a lean manager, performance and excellence are very important.

However, there is a temptation to focus only on technology rather than developing a comprehensive transformation strategy. The attraction of tools is that they can be used in different places within an organisation, often by people development teams or external consultants.

Even better, they can be used in isolation, avoiding the arduous work of transforming the organisation and its central management style. While the overly focussed tool approach delivers initial results, the limited emphasis never leads to long-term, sustainable change.

We invite managers to share their experiences, discuss current organisational difficulties and explore ways to involve the whole company in the development of a new operating model to promote a culture of rapid learning and problem solving.

Who should take part?

  • Managers and supervisors who are undergoing or intend to undergo change
  • Managers and supervisors who want to change their organisation from the tool age to a holistic way of thinking in order to bring about sustainable change

These 5 steps characterise a lean manager:

1. Kontrollieren Sie Ihr Gebiet:

  • Kennen Sie die Grenzen Ihres eigenen Arbeitsbereichs
  • Identifizieren Sie Ihre Ressourcen
  • Schaffen Sie sich einen definierten, überschaubaren und sicheren Arbeitsbereich
  • Machen Sie wichtige Dinge sichtbar
  • Halten Sie Ihren Bereich auf dem Stand der 5-S-Standards (Sortieren, Richten, Glänzen, Standardisieren, Erhalten)
  • Machen Sie regelmäßige Besuche vor Ort

2. Geben Sie den Handlungen einen Sinn: Identifizieren Sie Ihre Kunden und deren Erwartungen an Sie (Leistungsindikatoren) und richten Sie Ihre Prozesse durch visuelles Management auf deren Bedürfnisse aus.

Why you should definitely discuss this topic in your company with your managers and key employees

This workshop can introduce a new idea, encourage participants to explore it further themselves, or it can illustrate and promote actual process practice.

This workshop is a great way to teach practical skills as it gives participants the opportunity to try out new methods and fail in a safe environment.

By attending a workshop, your managers can not only learn new things, but also forge new relationships, build connections with like-minded people and even get to know customers and suppliers on a more personal level. Below we summarise the many benefits of attending this workshop. Not everyone has the same view of the world, and their understanding of something may be drastically different from yours. Attending a workshop serves exactly this purpose.

Advantage number 1: You can get a remarkably unique or completely new perspective from other participants. Sometimes you can even create something great for your career by asking them for their thoughts or suggestions on something you may not even know about or have never heard of.

To grow, we need to be open to new ideas, new ways of doing things, or new ways of thinking. It is rightly said that you have to learn a new way of thinking before you can master a new way of being!

Advantage number 2: Building new relationships and meeting new contacts are important for personal development. As a professional, a workshop offers you the best opportunity to meet other people who share your interests. It is always a pleasure to meet someone who has the same enthusiasm as you. Attending a workshop is a great way to meet other people in your area with the same interests. Of course, this is no guarantee that a friendship will develop, but it never hurts to try. You will at least make a friend and someone who knows your "shop talk", i.e. someone you can talk to about your work, etc.

Advantage number 3: Attending a workshop is like a gift to you, giving you the opportunity to learn something new from like-minded people who have more experience and knowledge to give you a new insight into the world of professionals. As the environment is very competitive and you want to survive, you need to attend as many workshops as possible to stay up to date or ahead of the competition. New skills can also lead to better pay or a pay rise. All the more reason to celebrate!
